Self Directed Support Service (West Dunbartonshire)

The Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013 came into force on 1st April 2014. Self-Directed Support (SDS) is the way that social care is delivered to people who have eligible care needs across Scotland. The main principle of SDS is to provide individuals who require social care support with more choice and control over their lives and how their support is delivered.

If you are already in receipt of social care support services that are funded or delivered by the HSCP, you can contact your care manager or social work duty for more information about SDS.

If you are not currently in receipt of care and support, but would like more information please see our local contact details . You will also find lots of information about Self-directed Support on our website or contact duty social work.
